The Importance of Having a Website for Your Business

How important is it these days for a small business owner to have a website these days?

According to InternetWorldStats.com, by June 2008, the number of Internet users in the United States had reached over 220 million (approximately 72.5% of the nation’s population), and the user growth rate had increased by nearly 131% since the year 2000.  

Now ask yourself this question: when you want to are thinking about buying a particular product or service, where do you go to find out information about it?  Do you grab the Yellow Pages?  Do you flip through the newspaper and look at ads?  Or do you head straight to your computer, jump online, and find information through Google?

Another reason for creating a website for your business is that you will be exposing your business to significantly more people – not just the people who walk by your brick and mortar store.  You can also use your website to generate more leads, build a prospect list, and make more sales.  (I will show you how in subsequent e-mails.)    

So how important is it these days for a small business owner to have a website these days?  I think you know the answer.
